Graco Size4Me 65 Car Seat Instructions (2026): Installation, Adjustment, and Cleaning Guide

Graco Size4Me 65 convertible car seat installation guide

The Graco Size4Me 65 is a mid-range convertible that bridges the gap between Graco’s budget seats and the 4Ever. Its standout feature is the RapidRemove cover that unsnaps for quick washing without removing the harness or uninstalling the seat — a genuine time-saver when your toddler has a blowout on a road trip. It handles rear-facing (4–40 lbs) and forward-facing (22–65 lbs) with Graco’s standard LATCH and seat belt installation system. This guide covers both modes, harness adjustments, and cleaning.

Rear-Facing Installation (4–40 lbs)

With LATCH

  1. Release the LATCH connectors from storage (red buttons). Verify the strap routes through the rear-facing belt path (blue label).
  2. Set the recline to an appropriate angle for your child’s age.
  3. Place the seat rear-facing with at least 80% of the base on the vehicle seat.
  4. Check the level indicator — the ball must be in the blue zone. For babies under 3 months, the ball must fully cover the light blue circle.
  5. Connect LATCH hooks to the vehicle’s lower anchors (no twists) and tighten while pressing down firmly.
  6. Test for less than one inch of movement at the belt path.
  7. Recheck the level indicator. Use rolled towels at the seat crease for angle adjustments.

With Seat Belt

  1. Store LATCH connectors. Set recline and place seat rear-facing.
  2. Route the seat belt through the rear-facing belt path (blue label). Flat, no twists, in front of the buckle strap.
  3. Buckle and pull the shoulder belt all the way out to engage locking mode.
  4. Press down while feeding slack into the retractor.
  5. Test for less than one inch of movement. Check level indicator.

Forward-Facing Installation (22–65 lbs)

With LATCH + Top Tether

  1. Release LATCH connectors and verify the strap is in the forward-facing belt path (orange label).
  2. Unhook the top tether. Set the seat upright and place forward-facing.
  3. Connect LATCH hooks and tighten while pressing down.
  4. Attach and tighten the top tether to the vehicle’s tether anchor.
  5. Test for less than one inch of movement.

With Seat Belt + Top Tether

  1. Store LATCH connectors. Route seat belt through forward-facing belt path (orange label).
  2. Buckle, lock, press down while tightening.
  3. Attach and tighten the top tether (required for all forward-facing installations).
  4. Test for less than one inch of movement.

Harness Adjustments

No-Rethread Harness Height

The Size4Me 65 has a no-rethread harness that adjusts with the headrest. Squeeze the headrest handle and slide to change the harness height. Rear-facing: straps at or below shoulders. Forward-facing: at or above.

Loosening and Tightening

Lift the harness release lever while pulling straps outward to loosen. Pull the front adjustment strap to tighten. No pinchable slack at the shoulder means it’s snug enough.

RapidRemove Cover

This is the Size4Me’s best feature. The cover unsnaps without removing the harness or uninstalling the seat. Unsnap the cover tabs around the edges, pull the cover free (guiding it around the harness straps), and machine wash in cold water on delicate. Drip dry and resnap into place. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.

Cleaning Instructions

Harness Straps

Surface wash with mild soap and damp cloth only. Never submerge or machine wash.

Buckle

Remove, soak in warm water (no soap), press red button to clear debris, shake dry, air dry completely.

Seat Cover

Use the RapidRemove system (above) or spot clean in place with damp sponge and mild soap. No bleach.

Important Notes

Never use LATCH and seat belt together. Always use the top tether for forward-facing. Replace after any crash.
