How to assemble Graco 4Ever car seat and what should it look like put together?
The Graco 4Ever car seat should come fully assembled in the box. To see how the assembled car seat looks like during unboxing, you may watch this video.
You only need to install the cup holders. To do so, please match the left cup holder to the left side of the seat and the right to the right. Align the tap on the cup holder with the slot and slide down (please see image below taken from the Instruction Manual). You will hear a clicking sound.
How to install Graco 4Ever car seat rear-facing (with video)
You can install Graco 4Ever car seat rear-facing with either the LATCH strap or vehicle seat belt. This video shows a demonstration of both methods.
- 1Attach the top tether hook to the plastic bar on either side of the car seat (please see image below taken from the Instruction Manual).
- 2Push in on the red buttons on the LATCH connectors and remove them from storage location (please see image below taken from the Instruction Manual).
- 3Ensure that the LATCH strap is in the rear-facing belt path (marked with a blue label).
- 4Recline the car seat so that it is in recline position 1, 2 or 3.
- 5Place the car seat rear-facing in the vehicle’s back seat. Its base should sit as flat as possible on the vehicle seat.
- 6Extend the LATCH strap to its maximum length.
- 7Adjust the seat until the bubble is completely within the blue zone in the Level Indicator. Your vehicle must be on level ground when you check the indicator.
- 8Connect LATCH connectors to the vehicle’s lower LATCH anchors (please see images below taken from the Instruction Manual). Ensure the strap is not twisted.
- 9Press down firmly at the center of the car seat and tighten the LATCH strap (please see image below taken from the Instruction Manual). You may need to tighten through the slit in the pad at the belt path.
- 9Grab the sides of the car seat and slide it side-to-side and front-to-back to test for tightness. The car seat should move less than 2.5 cm.
- 10Check the Level Indicator again to ensure the bubble is completely within the blue zone. Readjust the car seat if needed.

- 9Grab the sides of the car seat and slide it side-to-side and front-to-back to test for tightness. The car seat should move less than 2.5 cm.
- 10Check the Level Indicator again to ensure the bubble is completely within the blue zone. Readjust the car seat if needed.
How to install Graco 4Ever car seat forward-facing (with video)
You can install forward-facing using Graco 4Ever car seat with either the LATCH strap or vehicle seat belt.

- 2Ensure the LATCH strap is in the forward-facing belt path (marked with an orange label).
- 3Unhook the tether and lay it in the seat (please see image below taken from the Instruction Manual).
- 4Recline the car seat so that it is in recline position 4, 5 or 6. Children of 10-18 kg must use position 4.
- 5Place the car seat forward-facing in the vehicle’s back seat. Its base should sit as flat as possible on the vehicle seat.
- 6Extend the LATCH strap to its maximum length.
- 7Connect LATCH connectors to the vehicle’s lower LATCH anchors (please see images below taken from the Instruction Manual). Ensure the strap is not twisted.

Where is the expiration date on my Graco 4Ever car seat?
To find out the expiration date of your Graco 4Ever car seat, please look for the date of manufacture on the sticker found on the back of the car seat. The car seat expires 10 years after that date.
How to place or fit a newborn in Graco 4Ever car seat
Before placing a newborn in the Graco 4Ever car seat, please ensure the body support of infant insert is already placed in the car seat (see image below taken from the Instruction Manual).
Then, you may follow the steps below (please see images taken from the Instruction Manual).
- 1Loosen the harness straps.
- 2Unbuckle the chest clip and the buckle.
- 3Place harness straps off to the sides.
- 4Place your newborn in the car seat and ensure his/her back is flat against the car seat back.
- 5Place the harness straps over your newborn’s shoulders and buckle. Pull on each buckle tongue to ensure it is securely attached. Check that the harness straps must be at or just below the shoulders.
- 6Check that the buckle is in the correct slot, which is the one closest to your newborn without being underneath him/her.
- 7Buckle the chest clip. You should hear a clicking sound.
- 8Pull up on the harness strap while pushing the chest clip down. Repeat this to the other strap.
- 9Pull the harness adjustment strap to tighten the harness.
- 10Raise the chest clip to your newborn’s armpit level.
- 11Check that you cannot pinch the harness straps at the shoulders.
