A similar model to the Clek Liing is the Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seat. Both are rear-facing carriers that attach onto an included base installed in your vehicle. Both can be used as part of a travel system when you pair them with a compatible stroller. Both offer conveniences like pull-down canopies and comfortable carrying handles. The Liing has a higher child weight limit of 35 pounds, however, while the KeyFit 30 can only support up to 30 pounds.
When it comes to convenience, the KeyFit 30 might have a leg up, in that its fabric can be laundered in the washing machine, while that of the Liing needs to be washed by hand or spot-cleaned. As far as price, however, the Liing is considerably more expensive, so the KeyFit 30 is a more attractive option from a budgetary standpoint.

The Clek Liing safety seat is an excellent car seat for infants. It is easy to install, made from premium materials, is easy to install, and has an excellent crash test rating.
Like other seats in the Clek line, the Ling is quite expensive. If you are willing to pay the price this safety seat had features that may well make it work the price to hold your most precious cargo. There are a few minor negatives such as the harness requiring careful routing to be rethreaded, the necessity for time-consuming disassembly of the seat and harness so you can remove the cover for cleaning, and a quite heavy sat/base. Despite this CR rates the Clek Ling as One of the best seats overall for balancing crash protection, ease-of-use, and vehicle fit. This makes it one of top performers in all crash tests.
Before you purchase this seat, you should be aware the seat is not set for the smallest occupant before removing from the packaging. A headrest or body pillow blocks one or more harness slots, and the harness must be rethreaded to adjust for the child's growth as well as to reassemble after cleaning the car seat.
