Overview of Chicco GoFit Backless Booster
The Chicco GoFit Backless Booster Car Seat is a convenient and comfortable means of ensuring your growing child rides safely when he or she is ready to transition out of a high-back booster. It’s sturdy and comfortable, and is made for kids in the weight range of 40 to 110 pounds and the height range of 38 to 57 inches. It’s thoughtfully designed with a plush cover as well as two integrated cupholders that can be folded away to save space when they’re not needed. It can be set up in a matter of seconds, and is just as easy to carry by an adult or a child when it’s time to move it into a different car thanks to its built-in carrying handle. This makes it a great choice for multiple-car households or for families who carpool frequently to school or sports events.
Not only is the GoFit’s fabric comfortable, but it’s also removable, so you can toss it into the washer as often as you like to keep it fresh and clean. Similarly, the cupholders can be removed and placed in the dishwasher. As you can see, keeping the Chicco GoFit in good shape doesn’t require a lot of time and effort on your part. As far as installation, note that this model is not equipped to work with a vehicle’s LATCH system. (If you’re in need of that, Chicco’s otherwise-very-similar GoFit Plus would be a choice to consider.) The GoFit incorporates built-in lap belt guides and a shoulder belt clip to help keep your little one safe and secure.

Chicco GoFit Backless Booster Car Seat vs. Graco Backless Booster
The Chicco GoFit Backless Booster Car Seat and the Graco Backless Booster are highly comparable models, with the exact same child age and weight requirements, with similar ones regarding height. Both also feature padded armrests and two fold-away cupholders. Note that the armrests of the Graco are adjustable, however, whereas those of the GoFit are not. Both are rated highly for safety and comfort. Both are made by well-known manufacturers of sturdy and safe products for babies and young kids.
When deciding between the two models, one difference you’ll encounter is the price: The Graco Backless Booster is significantly more affordable, making it a more attractive choice for parents on a tight budget. When it comes to comfort and safety, however, the two stack up similarly.

Conclusion
The Chicco GoFit is a medium priced compact backless booster safety seat that provides support in all the right places. Its ErgoBoost double foam padding makes it a comfortable ride both for your child and you, especially in small cars. Recommended by Consumer Reports, the Go Fit is an easy to handle and transport seat with a built-in carry handle that makes it easy to transfer from vehicle to vehicle.
One drawback is there is no illustration of a child when properly seated. All sizing information and warnings are text only on the labels.
The instruction manual cannot be accessed while the child is in the seat and the warning that the safest place for children is the rear seat is not illustrated. Despite that minor inconvenience, positioning the seat is simple with its easy-to-attach push-on LATCH connectors.
Other nice additions are two flexible upholders that can be used by passengers, a plush cover and a very good performing backless booster that provides excellent belt fit. The seat has a machine washable seat pad making clean up from those inevitable accidents a snap.

Do you know if the GoFit Plus LATCH system has a weight limit for use? My 7 year old is 50 pounds and I was about to start using this booster but wasn’t sure if/when we’d need to stop using the LATCH system.
